Sustainable Energy & Fuels journal publishes VIVALDI review on integrative electrochemical and biological catalysis
The new study "Integrative electrochemical and biological catalysis for the mild and efficient utilization of renewable electricity and carbon resources" has been freshly published in the scientific journal Sustainable Energy & Fuels.
The paper, written by Licheng Liu and Deepak Pant, researchers at our consortium partner VITO, explores the integration of chemical and biological catalysis, technologies that both play important roles in producing various fuels, chemicals, and materials conventionally. In view of renewable resources (biomass and CO2) utilization, combining both chemical and biological catalysis can create revolutionary routes that are more sustainable and efficient for the processing of these resources. The review, featuring the VIVALDI project and concept, summarises such integrative processes and methods, exhibits the importance and manners of integration, and illustrates some reflections for future research.
