VIVALDI attends ISMET8 Global Conference
From September 19-23, a delegation of partners from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Leitat Technological Center, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) and Luleå University of Technology participated in ISMET8, the annual International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry & Technology.
For an entire week, scientific and industrial communities gathered to present and discuss the latest advances in research and industrial application of microbial electrochemical technologies. Topics of discussion cover various fields of interest of the community including fundamental aspects of the biochemistry, microbiology and ecology of the relevant organisms and communities, as well as improved materials and designs of devices, and their industrial applications.
The VIVALDI project had the opportunity to be presented by consortium partners via a flash oral presentation and a poster at the dedicated European Corner, where European Research Executive Agency (REA) funded projects showcased their concepts and impacts.
The conference, held in Chania, Crete, was organised by the Technical University of Crete, the Ghent University and the Universidad de Alcalá. For more information about ISMET8 head here.
