VIVALDI contributes to CO2SMOS Final Conference – Advancing the Circular Bio-based Industry

Our project coordinator, Albert Guisasola Canudas, presented the VIVALDI project at the "CO2SMOS Final Conference: Advancing the Circular Bio-based Industry", which took place on 1 April 2025 in Brussels (Belgium).

In a dedicated session from 10:15 to 10:45 AM, he joined CATCO2NVERS and CO2SMOS project coordinators to discuss the three projects' different strategies to develop circular approaches for bio-based industries, the results they obtained and the common challenges they faced.

From 12:30 to 1 PM, Franklin Streichenberger, Senior Policy Manager at CO2 Value Europe, presented VIVALDI and CO2SMOS cooperative actions. He explored recent EU legislation shaping a policy framework for fossil-free chemicals and discussed targeted policy actions to scale up Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technologies across Europe.
