VIVALDI Featured in BETA Tech Center Video Highlighting Dianella Garro’s Journey

Although the VIVALDI project officially concluded in June 2025, its impact continues through the people who contributed to its success.

Our partner BETA Tech Center has recently released a new video featuring Dianella Garro, who worked on the VIVALDI project and now continues her professional journey at BETA in Barcelona. The video traces Dianella’s path from Costa Rica—where environmental awareness is deeply rooted in everyday life—to Europe, where she pursued advanced studies and research through an Erasmus Mundus scholarship and a European-funded project.

Within VIVALDI, Dianella contributed to assessing the sustainability of carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies, focusing on innovative processes that transform industrial CO₂ emissions into valuable biobased products. Her work supported VIVALDI’s broader mission to advance sustainable and circular solutions for industry.

Beyond her technical contributions, the video highlights how Dianella’s personal values and professional ambitions are closely aligned. Living near Barcelona, she continues to integrate sustainability not only into her research, but into her daily life, demonstrating that environmental responsibility is not just a scientific objective, but a lived commitment.
