VIVALDI technology presented at Catalysis Connected 2025
On 16–17 April 2025, the third edition of the Catalysis Connected conference took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Launched in 2019, this conference series provides a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and academics to exchange knowledge and promote multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of catalysis. The 2025 edition was held under the theme “Shaping the Refinery of the Future”, with a focus on sustainable technologies and practices addressing global energy and environmental challenges.
A poster was presented by Avni Guruji, PhD researcher in the ELEC team at our consortium partner VITO and part of the MSCA ECOMATES project. The contribution, titled “Electrochemical CO₂ reduction on Bi-Sn eutectic mixture”, showcased work building on the metal-based gas diffusion electrodes developed during the VIVALDI project, with a focus on the transition from formate to direct formic acid production.
The poster received the Best Poster Prize. The VIVALDI consortium congratulates the researcher on this recognition.
The event was hosted by CAPTURE and ARC CBBC.
